That's what people do me, just for explaining situations about people taking advantage of me.

That is horrible. I cannot say i haven't been put in a mental hospital, but being put in a mental hospital with no mental illness is just plain wrong.

I'm sorry, but this cannot be a punishment. Unless, of course, you are convicted of a crime and you claim "temporary insanity" which is a lie. Then, yes, I would see hospitalization as a punishment.

Patients that have been hospitalized, have been done as so, because they have given family, friends, co-workers or law officials the thought that the patient could be a harm to self or others.
A doctor, who does not know you, may not understand your personality. Put that together with whatever someone has already told the doctor, that could be reason enough to hospitalize the patient.

A danger to self or others, is called a 5150.
Once you have been placed on a 5150 by any official, your civil rights are pulled so that they can place you in a facility for 72 hours for observation.
If someone at the facility realizes it was a mistake, you could be let out early. But, the hold is 72 hours unless they find reason to believe you are actually a harm to yourself or others.
Hon, you need to get a grip of the world around you. NO ONE HAS IT EASY!

No, I haven't been put in a mental hospital as punishment, most likely because mental hospitals don't accept people who are there for "just explaining situations about people taking advantage of me." Not only will hospitals not accept people without very good evidence of mental illness, but insurance companies and public health won't pay for such things.

Sorry Boo Boo, but I don't believe that you are being honest.
No, you would not be put in a mental hospital as "punishment."
The way that insurance works these days, there is no way a hospital would accept you unless you were a danger to yourself or others.
I think you need to be honest with yourself about your mental condition.
Please accept the help that is being offered to you and be open to the fact that you need help.

p.s. I see from your profile that you probably do have some fairly serious mental health issues. You may be slightly paranoid and that is why you think people are "punishing you." Get help!
I do care about you.

I'm sorry but I doubt very much that you were placed in a mental ward of the hospital as a punishment because you tried to explain that people were taking advantage of you - You might view it as a punishment and that might be the one of the keys to your illness and how to treat it. Also, you might be 100% right that people are taking advantage of you . This might be because you can not function well in society due to panic/anxiety/autism/paranoia or many other forms of mental illness.

And ...you might need hospitalization for medication and therapy. It is not a bad thing but maybe a necessary one.

Good luck and I hope your paranoia settles down a little

Hopsitals aren't places where you are put just because someone thinks you need to be punished, there has to be a good and specific reason - backed up by a doctor's evaluation to justify why you should be in there, such as harming yourself, harming others and mental illnesses like bi-polar.

Are you sure you aren't misinterpreting? I guess I can't assume that you are in the wrong. A lot of screwy things happen out there. I hope you are able to find the help you really need. How old are you? Do you have some sort of advocate that can help you get the treatment you deserve?

Oh Please!!!!!!!!!!! Stop the nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's actually extremely hard to get into a mental health hospital these days because there aren't enough beds for the people who want and need to be there. I have had clients desperately in need of it and voluntarily wanting to be there for stabilization who get denied admission because they aren't sick enough. If you were hospitalized psychiatrically, and against your will as you suggest, you would need to have posed a danger to yourself or someone else in order for that to happen. Perhaps in your agitation you made some sort of threat, whether meaningful or not. It's not the right place to joke about that sort of thing. Or perhaps your drama was taken seriously? May I quote one of your former posts?

"What's the quickest & most painless way to die?
My life is already over. It's useless for me to live it in everyday abuse inflicted on me by others in some way, form, or fashion. I'm tired of living in pain. Why does someone else have a right to kill me, but I don't have a right to kill myself? I should've just let my roommate murder me like she wanted to. The police told me she had every right to anyway. The police told me that BY LAW, I have NO rights because I'm mentally disabled. They treat us patients like we're in the dog pound in the psych ward, simply for asking for a glass of water. I want to sleep eternally & escape from all of my strange thoughts. My family never accepted me since birth. I was an innocent baby. Mother tried to kill me & my twin inside the womb, taking crack & narcotics"

Do people actually think that the psychiatric field needs to go and drum up business by hospitalizing people who neither want nor need to be there? That's what we call denial. Or Scientology, take your pick.

Get yourself to a friends house that you can trust immediately. If you are underage, seek help from a trusted friend. What do you mean when you say they are taking advantage of you? I know it may seem like there is no hope but there are people who can help you.
