My ears are very infected and I was wondering if there were any good tips to keep them healthy. I put synthetic on 3 times a day and just got my ears pierced last month. They are very crusty and itchy and sometimes bleed.

did you take them out? you shouldn't take new earings out.. mine did teh same thing however.. not bleed but they did get crusty, I took very good care of them.. if they are very very painful..that's bad.. crusty ichy is normalish.. I have 2 holes on each ear... and I've had cartalage done 2 times but they got to infected so I took them out... but if you keep your hair pulled back..and your ears cleaned with the solution 3 tiems a day, more if possible.. make sure to spin your earings... but DONT take them out... =)

The crust is probably an infection. An antibiotic can help it get better.
I am allergic to metals, and often got infected in my ear piercings. I discovered that I can wear pierced earrings that are NICKEL Free. You can ask for Nickel free earrings in stores. I learned about it at JC Penney. I think Kmart and other stores should know about this also. They are not too expensive. I learned that many people are allergic to nickel, which is in most metals.
I have heard of people who are unable to wear any earrings at all.
I suggest trying nickel free earrings.

you need to take out the earrings you are wearing. then two to three times a day you should soak a needle and thread in alcohol or peroxide then run them thru your holes this will clear up the infection. when you have gotten it under control i would by 14 karat or higher earrings you will have less of a chance of having a reaction to them. you are most likely allergic to the cheap stuff.

Remove the earrings and give your ears time to heal. Once healed, try earrings for sensitive ears or use clip ons.
