A "teetotaler or teetotaller" is one who practices the complete abstinence of alcoholic drinks. (Just wanted to pass along the correct spelling).

It meant people only drank tea & no acoholic beverages.
Now it just means you do not drink acoholic drinks. I am one of these but I do not rink tea either. Never gad any acoholic drinks or tea.i am a tea totaler

It simply means that the person does not drink Alcoholic drinks.

Thanks for all the answers! I never knew there was a name for me! J/K...I normally don't drink alcohol, but might once in a blue moon. But I do love tea immensely.
