White rice, converted, and sushi rice(unless it's brown sushi rice) are not wholegrains. Brown rice is a whole grain because the hull is left on yes, wild rice is also a whole grain... the problem is it's not actually rice, it's from a different plant altogether.

You can buy whole grain or brown rice, which isn't processed like white rice, and is a lot healthier, just like whole grain bread is healthier than white. You should be able to buy it at your grocery store... if not, check a health food store.

I believe it depends on what kind of rice it is. If it's white rice, it's not. The bran has been removed. Brown rice has the bran intact.

DUH.... Brown Rice is also considered a whole grain rice 2!!!!!!!
