At that age it is normal. My pit bull puppy was like that when she was very very young, but now she is full grown and does not do those things. I was really worried she would become aggressive but not the case.

You have to be persistant and remain very firm with the dog. Eventually he will give up and realize he has no choice but to be a follower and not a leader. Make sure he has plenty of bones to chew on, and start teaching him commands/obedience asap. It will help.

Also, when you are saying no, don't say it nicely - bark it out loud and forcefulyl.

You have a potentially serious issue unless you get control of it right now.

With young puppies, one of the most effective strategies is to yelp loudly when they bite, whimper, and turn away from them. This mimics the behavior of thier littermates, and like them, you will no longer play if they do it.

You should also give consideration to what is triggering the biting. Are people teasing him with their hands or feet? Humans are not toys and their body parts should not be used as them. The dog must learn respect for what is yours.

Does he run at and bite people as they arrive at your house? In that case, or for any time when it is a "fresh" meeting between the person and dog, a shaker can is a great tool. This is am empty pop can with fifteen pennies in it and the top taped shut. When the dog attempts to bite, shake it once, very sharply. The noise will startle them. Do NOT shake the can up and down. They get used to the sound and it loses its effect.

Also, make sure people ignore the dog when entering the house, getting up and moving around the house while he is present, etc. He needs to learn he cannot command attention by biting.

Pitbull get like that when people mess with them alot. Did you have it since it was born? I have a pitbull and I am trying to keep it nice! Mine bit on alot of things if you start to take it out more for walk's it won't be board...Or get him/her some chew toys make it feel speical try not yelling at it. Try makeing it go another other dogs because now is the right time because it's a baby and you can have it use to playing with other dogs. Mine loves other dogs. Mines full Pitbull....Try taking it around more people too....but make sure the people are nice to him/her

He's being a normal puppy... Try "the Trainer". It is listed in Dr. Leonards magazine. It usually runs $14.99 and works like a charm. It emits a high pitched tone that will stop him in his tracks. It has worked for all my dogs and cats! For those times you are not home-try caging him or red pepper on his favorite chewing places. Best of luck to ya!

It is normal for them to bite, but don't forget that their teeth
are still coming in and soon after will be falling out for their
adult teeth to come in. They need something good to chew
on. I would suggest you get him somthing really tasty to
chew. So that way he will only be interested in that.
Also if he does bite you, ignore him. Getting a responce
may be all the encouragement he needs. Just toss him a
bone and it will stop soon. Also don't play with him with
toys that you pull on, cause that teaches aggression.

My puppy is 3 months old now and he too likes to bite. I have chew toys for him that seems to help. He has to learn not to bite on people. It might be a behavior problem . You may be able to get advice from any dog trainer. I just encourage my pup to play with his toys when he tries to bite , They are teething too so its not abnormal for them to be biting on items., but its not good to bite on people.Does he seem aggressive when he is growling and pouncing or does he seem to be playful? My guy likes to growl and bark at people too., but when I hit a newspaper on my hand he doesnt like the noise. My sister has bought a clicker for her dogs and that seemed to work for her dogs.Something with the noise makes them stop. I like to question my vet on all things too. It can be difficult training pups. Good luck to you!!!!!

Ever bitten the inside of your own mouth. Hurts doesn't it? Next time the puppy bites you, use your hand to roll the puppy's lower or upper lip into its own mouth. It'll hurt like a son of a ____ and it'll eventually stop biting. Remember it's just a puppy, your not out to hurt it, just let the dog bit it's own lip a time or two and it'll settle down.

Your puppy might be teething. You should get him a rawhide or something hard to chew on and if he tries to bite you tell im No! and don't let him get away with it. Every time he tries to bite you say no and show him the bone so he knows what he is allowed to chew on.

A stern no. Put your hand up in a stop gesture. If he starts to repeat the behavior repeat the no and hand gesture. When he isn't biting give lots of praise and petting but if he starts chewing again pull hand away and repeat the no

well it is natural because he is just a puppy but what you can do is well I know you said this doesnt work but still do it say no whenever he bites you and when he bitses you if you can put him in like a "time out" like in his crate if you have one or outside or you can go to google and search puppy training and ask a question
