You have to get her on a strict eating and bathrooming schedule.
Two meals a day. Morning and evening. She gets a bowl of water, and small treats (1 or 2 bites) in the evening, and that's it.
After meals, naps and anytime she's left alone, take her out. Ignore everything but bathrooming. DON'T PLAY!!!. That's very important. She needs to learn the difference between potty and play time.
Say over and over, "go potty", until she does, praise her like crazy, then take her directly into the house. If you want to play, wait a few minutes, then go back out.
Keep her on a leash tied to you all the time for a while. You can watch her closely and correct her as she messes. As soon as she starts to go, start yelling NO!! Take her immediately outside and praise her even if nothing else comes out.
You have to be consistent.
If you correct her sometimes, but not others, she won't learn.
Good luck

She knows not to do it where she sleeps, if you keep her in a Kennel or tied to where she is laying down downstairs she wont go where she is laying down. Problem is you have her out of your site, ...........
Your not around to say NO

Try feeding her only a little bit when you are not a around and more just before you take her out it sounds like you have not encouraged her w
hen she is outside to go.

I tell my dog to go because I want to go back inside and she does
when she wants to go out she whines sometimes going to the door even waking me up.
When she does have to pee she has the good sens to do it on the kitchen tile not on the rug where it is easy cleanup.

Praise her when she goes When you take her out and she goes and praise lavishly

PLEASE DONT BE OFFENDED
But you need traing not the dog, she is doing her part by not doing it in your bed or upstair.

Its about the tone of your voice that tells her the right and the wrong
and I dont mean being irate just very firm, because it is in her instinct to please you.
Sorry if it is a he aor a she as I dont think you distinguihed your dogs gender. Good luck ! Buy a video or read a book for some Ideas,....... I did and if you follow their instruction you can suceed
OH AND EVERYTIME YOU CLEAN UP AFTER HER YOU HAVE TO SAY "no' NOT HERE

And take her outside and praise her pointing to where she should go dogs are intelligent animals and do catch on good luck with this, this ideas and any you may p/u here an elsewhere put the time in and you both will be happier Good luck to you !OH AND BY THE WAY
Babies are potty trained and dogs are House broken LOL !;p
OH you did say your dog was a she my bad !

I have a cousin that was once no longer totally potty educated until he was once 6 and all on the grounds that his mother babied him an excessive amount of. It can also be natural, however it isn't common. I could hard love your aunt and cousin. Talk for your aunt and refer her to a couple well potty coaching web sites. Don't aid out with diapers. When your cousin has an "coincidence" or is going in her diaper, inform her, "good, you might've went in the bathroom like a colossal woman" and stroll away. Be persistant and do not collapse to her. Good success!

you have a problem in your hand. literally speaking.
here is what i do suggest -- as soon as he does his "pipi" --take the dog to the attic or the basement and begin to throw things around the dog -- not on him -- scare him real good. do that for about 15 minutes. make lots of noise. -- do it every time he does what you do not want him to do. that will scare him.
number two...you have to know a bit about the timing of his needs -- it is important...like after he eats he needs to go out...and take him for a walk...and as soon as he does pipi outside...reward him. do that also....for a few times...the reward.
hope all this helps. and give us the give news in about one month time. do not forget my points.
