Its been said that there a few needs we have that drive our behavior, they are.....

We need to love and be loved

We want to know and be known

We want to accept and be accepted

We want to respect and be respected

We want to give and receive

We want to care and be cared for

Which of these do you hunger for the most and which is the least?

All the above are equal to me. None are greater or lesser than the other.

i would say to be respected and to respect.
as a Muslim i am looked upon as a terrorist. some treat us with dignity and others belittle me. i don't do this to them but they don't hesitate to do this to us. the least important would be to know and be known, i don't know why but i happen to like the other options. and second would be to give and recieve. some times i just like to know that by not recieving earthly rewards, i might just recieve something better from God that i can't see. and this is worth more to me than anything on earth. God Bless

I think the only one of those that truely applies to me is the first one. I could care less about being known, respected or have anyone give me anything.

To love and be loved is my first choice. I believe everything flows from love.

To give and receive is my last choice, although I truly did not want to pick a last one. I believe all of the choices are important.

Lord,
Make me an instrument of thy peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love ,
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith:
Where ther is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much
Seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood and to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

I guess I would put "Love and be loved" at the top, but there really isn't a "least" in my book. They're all pretty important and closely related.

We want to respect and be respected

Reason being is that all of the other options start from respect, so I inevitably choose all!
