i have known this boy for as long as i can remember. He is a really good family friend and a great friend of mine. I have loved him for awhile and he has feelings for me he just says it would be weird dating me cuz my family!! Then he says we could get past those things and date but he is scared when or if we break up we wont be the same!!

Unfortunely it's a risk involved when you start dating friends. However I truly believe the potential benefits outweigh the risks, espescially if feelings exist for both of you. I say give it a shot, but start off slowly. That way you guys could gracefully back away if things don't work at all from the start.

if it's really love, you guys could be together forever, but if it's not then there would definately be a chance of ruined friendship. why is he scared of your family? anyway, i think you should go for it, but definately talk first about your friendship still being there if you break up.
