i bought a crunch bar today and when i open it the crunch bar it was pretty grey why was this?

When the chocolate is kept in improper temperatures(like it's too warm) The coco butter will seperate from the rest and create turn the chocolate a funny colour and texture, this also happens to really old chocolate.

It is not always from age...more likely, a whitish coloring on chocolate indicates it experienced a temperature change and does not alter the taste of the chocolate.
