You never know and that's the beauty of religion. It truly is about faith. I believe that as long as you are good with God, that the rest will fall in place. We all know the main demands of our religions, don't get bogged down in the what-ifs, because they don't matter. All that matters is that you believe is something and stay true to it the best way you know how.

If there was no book speaking of God's words, Jesus or any of that, just common knowledge that they exist/existed, would you still believe?

And regarding comments above, the bible actually has been edited and it would appear ever so slightly, but the translation 'errors' have significantly impacted Christian symbology. Just one example of translation gone bad...the cross we all picture Jesus being crucified on in all actuality was a stick. That is the literal translation from the earliest transcripts. Now that wouldn't be very appealing on a church, would it? So again, details...just have faith if you truly believe in something.

you're misinterpreting the passage right here. notwithstanding if your interpretation have been splendid, Christians might nevertheless no longer be required to maintain that regulation except they underwent circumcision, and Gentile Christians have been never required to realize this. Now, are there regulations codified interior the prophets? No. are you able to wreck or fulfill some thing interior the prophets that's no longer interior the prophets? No. If Jesus got here to "fulfill" the "regulation and prophets" then what precisely did He do to end this? "The regulation on the time became the regulation of the old testomony." No, the regulation in this context are the 1st 5 books of the old testomony writings, and could additionally confer with the best purchase of the old testomony writings. "tutor me a verse interior the Bible which says that it incredibly is okay to push aside the regulations of the old testomony?" A loaded question. The old testomony is likewise the old covenant, and Gentile Christians never grew to alter right into a criminal social gathering to that covenant. additionally, that covenant ended; being replaced by ability of the hot covenant. Is the hot covenant no longer good sufficient for you? .

Hello TS.

Well men do change things in the Bible from time to time.... most because of personal misleading things they want to teach.

One that comes to mind is God's name. (Jehovah) It has been removed from most Bibles and replaced with titles, Lord, God Father etc. Some texts have been altered to change the meaning to suit a specific teaching...

So you are correct with the man's editing thing to some extent, BUT??

If God inspired the Bible to be written?? If He did all the things that the Bible says He did?? Don't you think that He has the power to see that it stays true enough to the original that it still says what it said in the first place??

How would you find out though??

Hmmmm, compare ancient manuscripts?? Look at ancient Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic manuscripts and definitions??
And last but not least, see if the things fortold in the Bible actually happened??? and if the things the Bible says about our day is true??

Email me if you want to continue??

Mike

The Church - the divine Body of Christ (St. Paul's words) - filled with the Holy Ghost on the first Pentecost after the Resurrection, who we believe to be divine and "the Second Incarnation" (St. Anselm said that) - approved the Sacred Texts for use in the Church. The Scriptures, taken outside of the context of God's Holy Church, cannot be rightly discerned. The Church gave us the Bible - not the other way around.

You shouldn't offend perople with that question. Some beleivers are supersesitive and closeminded when you question their way of life As I have been known to say,,,, the bible was written by man to create order in society, and ease the fear of the transition to death. It has done Ok, still today christianity rules our society and our judicial system. I think its crap. I know not to kill anyone, not because the bible told me not to, not even because it was taught by my mother who believes the bible, "Honey dont eve kill a man...."(This is all hypothetical of course) I know becasue I am human and I havent any crazy mental disorders. Bible was written and edited by man. It is all a facade to maintain order. Funny though, as soon as other relligion come in to effect, all hell breaks loose!

In spite of the many different editions it remains the word of God. There may be errors written in by men but the text on the whole is still very true.

We have no doubt in the Bible because we have many manuscripts that date back thousands of years and they are exactly the same as they are today. Also God gives us confirmation to His Word by giving us His Holy Spirit and showing us His favor.
