Religion giveth to science by providing a more ordered society in which scientists can be free to do their work and religion taketh away by imposing restrictions on science based on primitive beliefs.

Also, it divides society into those who are vulnerable to religions influence and those who scorn religion yet understand its importance in controlling the behavior of the witless hordes.

I disagree with the first part. Morality cam be seen in monkeys too. They will starve for days rather than pull a lever that gives them food but shocks a companion.

And then they fight anything that disagrees with their book. Take a look at evolution. Universally agreed to in science, but they want to fight it.

Since most scientist don't believe in religion. I don't think that it does have an affect unless the few that do. They will be the only ones that do have an affect and it will change for the better. Not for the worse. And it will not divide.

I disagree with you , as a doctor and religious person.

Science without religion takes all personality out of the individual.

Thats why the Nazi icebath experiments were performed so freely on humans, with a perfect experimental design but completely inhuman and cruel. Likewise, the search for the perfect race was also an extention of Dawrin's laws to humanity, without regard for the individual.

Please change your opinion because it is very out of date, and could even be dangerous.
