That is the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life only if they had sex with you to and then you will have to have them take a paternity test.

Try Social Security if you can prove that your child is the deceased you may be able to collect ssi for the child if the father was old enough to have had a Job for any substantial amount of time.

Try your parents maybe they would be willing to pay child Support.

If you live in the U.S...

Of course you cannot 'go after' the grandparents for child support. Good Lord!

But you can apply for social security benefits for the children.

I am so sorry for your loss and that of your children.
Legally, the only way this can happen is if the father of your children was a minor. However, I would think that his parents might be willing to help you in times of need just because these are thier grand children. Try asking for help, then call the SSI office and fill out papers for suport from thier father's SSI savings. If he had any kind of work history, your children are intitaled to recieving this while they are minors.

That's unheard of, they didn't help you conceive that child. The father should've had some kind of life insurance so that when he died it would go to his child or children. If the father died, the child should be entitled to social security. Contact your state's social security office. When my friend's father died she collected social security until she graduated highschool.

not they are not responsible for your and their sons child. They have already raised their children. It was yours and the fathers decision to have children, your responsibility. If grandparents and other relatives decide to help out in anyway that is purely out of their goodness of their heart. Appreciate it be thankfull and dont take advantage of it.

For the kids only......You dont have to be married~! I would seriously think about what you are saying,I personally think that is messed up~! Contact social security~! Also, I dont believe that his parents are responsible for YOUR kids~!

i think i heard somewhere that if parents have $ and their young daughter gets pregnant--- they are responsible for the child, not welfare.
if this is your case, go for it, but your child should get S.S. from the deceased father's salary, until it is 18 years old. I know a child who got her dads s.s. for years, about $500. i think.
