"Godlessness in the Last Days
1But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
6They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over weak-willed women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, 7always learning but never able to acknowledge the truth. 8Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these men oppose the truth—men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected. 9But they will not get very far because, as in the case of those men, their folly will be clear to everyone."

Hasn't humanity been this way since the beginning of time?

Yes, through history there have been people like this. However, not on the scale we see this happening now. We see more sociopaths and people without a conscience than we ever have in the history of mankind. Men of depraved minds, just look at the pedophiles and child killers. Lovers of pleasure, just an evening in front of the television will confirm this. Brutal, violence against women and children skyrocketing. I could go on and on! I have no problem making the distinction between my generation and my mother's. She told me she never even heard of of the outrageous stuff going on now!
One was able to walk the streets in relative safety when she was a kid. I would not let my children walk the streets by themselves now. No, this generation is clearly the one the Bible speaks of!

you must be under 30. When I was a kid at 10-18 (37 now), the world was NOTHING like what you see today. Then to go to grandparents, it was like stepping into another totally different world.

Today is exactly as that passage says. For 20 yrs ago it was nothing like today.

Yep. That was a pretty smart prediction. You start to not believe in this and it will cause the end of the world. Pretty good way to keep people in line, isn't it?

Yes, and people have been convinced that they were living in the "last days" since the days of Jesus.
Even Jesus thought that he was living in the "last days."
