I have been dating my high school sweetheart for 3 and a half years. Things have been tough over the years, but hey who's relationship isn't it? Overall, I would say we're a happy couple. I know he's not going anywhere, and he knows the same for me. The major issue we have is his relationships with other girls. Though he says they're just friends, he has a sense of flirtation with them. He has this friend who is not someone I wish my boyfriend was around. He's cheated on his girlfriend and continues, talks bad about women...basically he's a total sleaze. But, my boyfriend still likes hanging out with him. It's to the point where on one occassion I found out his password on myspace and discovered he was talking to other girls. According to him, it was his friend who did it. I found out his password again and found the same thing. Again, the girl doesn't seem like the type he would talk to, but in the message he asked for her number and gave information about himself to her. All of it was about him, not his friend. The thing that is preventing me to jump down his throat is the fact that whenever we're together I'm so happy. It's like I look into his eyes and just know that there's no one else. But the messages prove otherwise. We've also had a deep discussion about the whole cheating issue and made it known that if we've even thought about being with someone else we would break up, and he has in the past, so Im pretty sure he'll do it again. He also says that seeing the pain his mother went through prevents him from cheating on someone. And he has a very close relationship with his mother. My heart says one thing, but my eyes say another. Who do I believe my heart or my eyes?
