Maybe you should give up and get her fixed. She does not want to sex that dog, she wants a different mate that is not a chihuahua. Stop trying to play god.

The male should be aggresive about breeding if she is in heat. There is something wrong with him I would guess. Better ask the vet. And I know you probably already know this, but I just want to say just in case, since I love Chihuahuas.... Please don't breed them unless the female is larger than the male... there is a good chance she will die, puppy will die or there will be a costly operation involved. Chis are so hard to breed. I seen a neighbor of mine kill two poor little chi girls like that. My chi is fixed, and I am glad for it... I couldn't risk loosing her.

You shouldn't be breeding her unless she's a top quality show dog. By breeding her, all you're doing is contributing to the dog overpopulation problem. You're just making more puppies that are going to die in shelters.

after a female comes into heat, she swells, than bleeds and it takes about 13 days before she in going to let the male do anything. when she starts to swell, count. she'llbe in heat about 21 days. 2 to three times connected is enough.

Maybe it's not time to breed yet? They won't start breeding from the first day they come into season..

She may not know how. In the dog world, the guy has to make the moves. Talk to a breeder. I know sometimes breeders need to "assist" in first time matings.

it could be that they are a little too shy?I mean, dogs can be shy on their first encounter with each other. Why dont you wait until shes in heat again then give it another try. rubberstampr
