Absolutely not. God reveals himself to his children in myriad and mysterious ways. As long as you do not worship the picture there is nothing wrong with it.
Grace and peace!

Everyone who has ever painted a picture of Jesus has used their imagination because there has never been a physical description of Jesus in the Bible or anywhere else. (That we know of !)
If it is a sin to paint a picture of Jesus as one imagines him , then everyone who has ever painted him has sinned.
I am white but I cannot accept the concept that Jesus was tall, fair-skinned, blonde haired , blue eyed and dressed in a white robe, as he is so often depicted. It just doesn't make sense considering what part of the world he came from.
Indigenous peoples of the Holy Land are, generally speaking, dark complected, dark haired, brown-eyed and of normal stature. Why would Jesus be any different ?

why would you think jesus was white? because your white. In reality jesus wasn't black or white. Giving in the middle east. he would be tan not white or black. But it doesnt realy matter what color he is. Color doesn't matter. If you judge someone by there color you deserve to be hit sqaure in the chest.

This is the 2nd commandment as found in Exodus 20

You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments
