I have two. I know you only asked for one but...
1. People literally stop and stare at my eyes. A few have said they could look for hours. My eyes aren't really big or almond shaped or anything cool, they are this really pretty shade of hazel. With my dark hair people thing I am Greek all the time!
2. That when I tell stories I animate the dialogue with a really great vocabulary so lots of people can literally 'feel' what I am saying. I guess I am a good story teller?
One was for beauty and one for mind... thats why I couldnt pick just one.
Have a good night!

I was bragging on and on about my wonderful, beautiful children. The person listening was not only patient enough to allow me to gush about their talents, good grades, excellent behaviour, Christian values etc..... but them honoured me by saying that my children were obviously a reflection of their mother. I absolutely melted. It really is the sweetest compliment I have ever received.

I had just started working for a new company. My position involved heavy die set-up and trouble shooting. It is definitely a male-dominated occupation and I was the only female they had ever hired (it's very unusual to see another female in my trade, anywhere I've worked). I was working on a line setting it up and asking questions to a senior boss, and he simply looked at me, smiled, and said, "You know more than you think you know." Then he smiled again and walked away.
That was 13 years ago and that man will never know how important his compliment was to me. Whenever I am unsure of myself, his words come ringing back in my ears. "You know more than you think you know." And I forge ahead trusting my instincts--then I'm surprised at what I have accomplished. Remembering that compliment calms my fears and gives me the courage and confidence that I need to go on.

I had to be flown to a burn unit after getting chemical burns to my hands. As it turned out all of this was unnecessary but I ended up in a room with an elderly lady who was burned really bad. The hospital was understaffed so she couldn't always get immediate help, so I stepped in as a makeshift nurse. The compliment: "God sent you to me. You're my angel."

This one will make you cry.A really good friend of mine sneezed on time.I said God bless you.He said,I'm already blessed.I was like what a smart ***.So,one day we were talking and I told him that was the only thing he ever said to me that I thought was a smart *** thing,He said,"well,I am blessed I have you, don't I?"He unfortunately passed away from asthma about a couple weeks after that comment at the age of 21.Its been 2yrs since his death and I will always remember and want to say......yes,you are truely blessed.I think its weird alot of things he said before he died..things I never would of thought of thinking of during the time they were said.I miss him every day and think about him.As for the best compliment that was it..when he said,"I have you, don't I?"

My 6 years old niece told her friends that I'm the hottest auntie in the world. I was surprised with her vocabulary so I asked her what does she mean by 'hot'. She rolled her eyes and said to her friends "...but I think she's not too smart."

when i worked in the icu i was usually the first face the patient saw after being taken off a ventilator/ being un-sedated. usually it was a grumpy old man demanding food/drink/narcotics, but once i had this 27 yr old with lupus- and when she came off the vent she said "you have the face of an angel" she had one of those tiny little voices and she said it i spanish- it was so sweet- i'll never forget it!
