I have been out of a relationship since 01/07 but my ex just told me yesterday that there is no hope for us so stop tryin. So is it too soon to be w/ someone. Or should I even be looking.

Honey, give yourself a break. Whatever reason and or problems that you and your ex shared in this past relationship will only be useless baggage in the next. Please take some "me" time and relax, and try to examine what and why this last relationship didn't work. Make a list of all of the qualities that you are looking for. Take your time when you do this. Take one month off for every year you were involved with him, work on yourself, and then start looking. Be the best you can be, for your next boyfriend, and look for the qualities that you want. Don't settle for anything less than what you have on your list. Remember when you find mister right, it will be forever if it is meant to be. So take your time on this one.

Only you really know when is the best time..... some people make the mistake of being with someone else too soon, to fill the void, loneliness,company and so on, when you think you are over your x, and ready to move on.. is the right time.

You should only look when you know you're ready for a relationship. Make sure you're over your ex. Go out and make some new friends. Maybe one of them will become more.
