I have two answers for ya! The PX sells great deals on phone cards, but another option for you is to see if your soldier will have access to sergovia phones(they are VOIP phones alot of FOB's and camps use), if they do you can buy them minutes online, those are very cheap! I always bought the $10 option and it gives you a ton of minutes.

any phone card will do. mostly, they use dsn lines where it connects to an operator in the us. some dsn numbers are free to connect to your number, but others you need a calling card. And since youre bein connected by an operator in the US, its the normal minute fee that us being used. theres also another ohone system where you purchase minutes online and get a pin number and from a special line you dial directly yourself. the minutes are really cheap. i forget what website it is, but if your soldier in iraq has one of those phone systems, theyll be able to tell you the website so you can ourchase minutes

My husband and I found that we got better rates and more time by just charging the calls on our credit card rather than using the AT&T Pre-Paid calling card from the P/X.... So, if you're sending it to a friend, I'd just recommend sending a pre-paid credit card (It's like a gift certificate and can't go over the amount you put on it.)

www.aafes.com (army and airforce exchange service) sells phone cards especially for this, the minutes that are on them are specifically for iraq/kuwait to US calls. if your not military you cant sign in to buy anything else from that site but there is a link on the main page for gift cards and phone cards

Contact the nearest Military Organization, or a phone Company, and they will assist you in obtaining this wonderful
gift. I believe that I will do this also. Thank you!!!
