an effective way to let them know you are interested in getting to know them?

Yes, asking someone if they're single is a great approach. It lets them know that you're thinking of them, but at the same time didn't come on as strong as to scare them away. It'll also be easier to tell them directly later that you like them because you don't need to tip toe around it since they already have it in mind. That's how I knew my gf had a thing for me. After she asked me, I asked her out for coffee. Good Luck :)

Yes it should. But if you are a woman it is not a good idea . Sometimes it runs them away from u. They will dodge you because u coming on to strong. So I think you can get to know a person daily if you just sit back and watched them, and just speak everyday. They will get the picture. If the other person is interesting in you they will let you know eventually.

drop hints here and there and let them know your interested. start to act more friendly than usual and find different ways to coincidentially be in to the same things and have the same after school or after work (depending on how old you are)activities. but dont do it so much in a stalker way just make it noticable so they will know then when you have enough confidence and you think they're prepared too go for it!!!

I like the direct approach, just asking can you get to know them better, but yeah I guess that works too.

I think it depends if you say it at the beginning of a conversation or in the middle of a conversation.

Yea it is to me. What other reason you're asking if you're not feeling me? Everybody is different, but to me it tells me the female is tryna hook up wit me.

Yes. But it could also make the other person uncomfortable especially if they are a private person.
