I just installed a new alpine stereo in my durango. The tuner on the stereo is playing loud and clear but when i switch to CD or the IPod I get no sound. I have a factory amp, aftermarket amp, 10"sub and factory upgrade infinity speakers, all work great with the radio. I have reset the Pod and the stereo. Is there seperate wiring for sound from these items??

The turn-on wire for the factory amp is usually a blue wire in a Chrysler adapter harness. If you connected it to the blue wire on your Alpine stereo, that's a power antenna output; the amp only turns on when the tuner is selected. Disconnect it from the blue wire, and re-connect it to the blue/white wire in the Alpine harness.

you also have amplifiers !

maybe you use the antenna wire insted of the remote wire to turn on the amplifiers
