it was 3years ago we dated for a month...he lives in new jersey not near me and he just called me randomly......but he currently has a girlfriend. i had to end the conversation for dinner and he seemed sad....i want to keep in touch with him but don't want to sound desperate! help

No, no and no. Too many times people pop up out of nowhere after weeks, months, years. It is unacceptable for someone to disappear and then pop up again as if nothing happened. And if he has a girlfriend, definitely let him go. Most likely if he seemed sad he is trying to use you for support. Do not make yourself available, he is your ex for a reason, move on to someone else!

OMG I also dated a guy for a month and now he contacts me by msn and he wants to "hangout". I went out with him once now to the movies, but it was weird. Exes should stay in the past where they belong!
Maybe this guy just thought about you & felt like he needed to talk to you. Something may have made him think of you and he called so he may miss you and thinks of you fondly. But be weary if he has a girlfriend, you never know what he may be up to:)

just act neutral. he just realized the friendship you guys had and missed it and doesn't want to lose a friend b/c of a relationship. my ex and i are really really close friends. you can do that too :]
