I'm sure you've all heard about the food recall, and I am trying to find out which brands are SAFE for my 2 years miniature schnauzer. Thank you for any information.

First, here is the recall list.

Second, of the natural health food type foods- Innova seems safe so far.
My BEST bit of advice is to go to the pet food website u are interested in using and see what it says. Also be sure to check the recall site too!
Purina is NOT 100% ok.

The link below lists ALL the foods recalled. It was "wet" dog food only. I know that Pedigree wasn't on the list because I had a can of that on hand at the time of the recall.
I've gone to dry kibble only now, I just don't want to take a risk!

The higher quality foods, such as Blue Buffalo, Canidae (sp?), By Nature, etc are all safe.
The recall refers to canned/pouched wet food, by the way, which shouldn't be the main source of food, anyways.

Pedigree just sent me an email telling me that ALL their foods are safe. I guess they must be losing $$$ too, with everyone afraid to buy pet foods.

I feed my dog (my beloved pug who i couldn't live without) Purina Beneficial or something like that...i don't have the bag to look...but apparently, purina isn't made by menu foods...so i guess it's ok... my dog hasn't had any symptoms of the illness and he's been eating it since we got him...3 years now.
Oh yeah..none of the wet crap...why do that to someone you love

u can feed it any hard food , it was only the soft food that was recalled like canned food or pouched food .
