Did you mean Hinduism?

It depends on what you mean by religious. Overall I'd say yes they are.

Devotion is shown through many ways in Hinduism. Through the chanting of a mantra (sacred word or words), the recitation of God's name, prayers, through performing puja (ritual worship) in the temple room in the house (most Hindus keep a room set aside just for God and during puja God is invited as a guest to come and reside....God is offered water to drink, food to eat, etc, just like any other guest, prayers are said, songs are sung, and at the end of the puja God is once again invited to reside in the hearts of the worshipper). At the temple puja is done by priests, songs are sung, prayers are said. The temple is also a place where God is invited to reside as a guest and those that go to the temple treat God as an honored guest there (just like they do in their homes).

The belief, though, is that it is not important what you do to show your devotion to God, but rather what is in your heart when you show it. As the Bhagavad Gita says "even if you offer a rock or twig or leaf, if your heart be directed in devotion towards me then that is enough." It goes on later to say "Though a person be soiled with the sins of a lifetime let them but love me, rightly resolved, in utter devotion: I see no sinner, that person is holy."

Hope that helps. Great question.

Peace be with you.

I'm confused. What's their belief in showing their devotion? What does that mean?
