Display things you love that you already have.
These things are good for allll decor styles, and they won't cost you a dime.

If you don't like the furniture in your room, you can always go to a fle market or hit the yard sales and buy old furniture and then re-paint them to your specific color choices. As far as painting goes, if you want or need to do more than one wall choose a few different colors and paint each wall the opposite color. If you're into retro styles, you can make your own circles or squares all over the wall with other colors. If you hit some of the hard ware stores they usually have discounted quarts of paint, or you can ask family and friends for any of their left over paint and use that for the different colors. Also bring in storage bins and fabric that match your colors on the wall so it makes everything POP!
Good luck and you'll have fun if you get really creative. You really dont' have to spend a bunch of money, just use your imagination and shop wisely.

Pick a color and use different shades of the same color in your accessories. Pillows, milk crates for storage or books, fabric for the windows. Some of these things you can get at the dollar stores or Big Lots. Take your favorite magazine and make a collage of people or things you like on a poster board.

Hit the dollar stores for a corner shelf & a couple cute statues. Maybe even stencil something on the walls

Hang up your favorite posters or download them from the internet! That is always fun! Add color to your room by painting it a fun color! Soon you'll have a room that you, your family, and everyone else will love. And one that is your style, that is cool, and one that is hip!

a gallon of paint can do wonders...pick a "cute" color, like pink or red and paint one wall in your room! Will change the room dramatically!
