I recommend a Cateye Mity. It's simple to use, offers great performance, lightweight, reliable, and inexpensive. My first computer was an older Mity and even the more expensive computers I've had were compared to it. It's still my favorite.

There is also a Cateye Enduro which is heavier duty for mountain bikes. It's basically a Mity with heavier gauge wires and a fat fork mount. It may actually be a better recommendation for your bike.

Cateyes are widely sold but Bike Nashbar and Performance Bikes usually have very good prices.

Cateye, Trek, and Specialized all make very good computers... it all depends on what functions/features you want, and how much you want to spend
go to your local bike shop and look around

cateye has a pretty nice selection of computers both wired and wireless. You can try either JensonUSA, Pricepoint, Wheelworld, etc.... you can also go to a bike shop.
