i know that hacerse means to become, to pretend, or to get use to, but how does this definition put in here? do i have the wrong definition?

hacerse = cause to be or become, to turn to, to change into, get, obtain, get hold

hacerse famoso = to become famous
hacerse médico = to become a doctor
hacerse explicar una cosa = to have something explained to oneself
hacerse daño = to hurt oneself
hacerse vinagre = to turn to vinegar
