Prove to me that Hammy the Hamster didn't actually resurrect from it.

Yes, he was dead in there.

And if you want to see the box, IM me and I'll show it to you on webcam via YIM.

Smiley:

Oh, it's empty. Like I said, I'll gladly show you if you IM me on YIM. Trust me, it's empty. Or IM me and I'll prove it.

Zero: Live webcam is next to impossible to fake as you can IM me and insist I write something arbitrary on my dry erase board, and I will show write it on my dry erase board.

TTC:

The comparison is this -- You have an empty tomb at the Sepulcher.

You have no proof, other than the Bible, that anyone was ever in it. In fact, if you had proof someone was in it, you'd have proof that there was no resurrection.

So, I have the same situation. I have an empty box which, via live webcam, I'm willing to let anyone and everyone see.

I want to know how it can be proven that Hammy the Hampster was once in it dead and that he didn't resurrect from this box.

The two situations are exactly identical.

IM me on YIM via my profile. I will turn on my live web cam and show you the empty box. If you feel that maybe I pre-recorded something, ask me via IM to write some words of your choice on my dry erase board with the box still in view. I will write those words on the board. This way you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it's a live video feed of the empty box.

Yes, he was. He was cold as a rock and suffering rigor mortis when I put him in. And when I opened it three days later, he was not in it any more, not even a skin fleck or a hair, let alone bones or slime.

Hammy is Risen, Hallelujah!

The difference is, you probably have a box that you can show us.
There is no tomb of Jesus for us to look at.....empty or otherwise.

Please excuse the following excerpt from one of my books.

(It may not apply to your question, and then again, it may.)

37. Uncle Wayne's theory of "Filling the empty box": Humans, and maybe all living organisms, are overwhelmed when they see an empty box. They seem to have an uncontrollable urge to fill that empty space. What should I put in the empty container? Do not be fixated on your first answer. Consider a multitude of answers. This theory applies to every aspect of our lives. The following is simply a miniscule application for your love relationship.
Example: You and your wife have decided to go to a fancy restaurant. You are ready to go and you are waiting for her to get ready. You have an "empty box" of time on your hands. How are you going to fill that empty box?

As a Christian, I have no problem admitting that I presuppose the resurrection of Christ and the truth of God's revelation in the Scriptures. Utimately, we all interpret things in light of what we believe. I interpret all things in light of the Christian faith.

As for those who might suggest that the empty tomb is evidence for Christ's resurrection, it will not be interpreted that way by those who have a personal bias which inclines them to reject the resurrection of Christ. Of course it is convincing for those of us whose hearts have been changed by the Holy Spirit so that we desire to live for God and believe his message. However, those who remain at emnity with God will not accept the truth on God's terms.

I don't see the connection you are trying to make here. This seems somewhat out in left field in comparison to the resurrection

I agree, with another answer. Prove to us that you have the box. Just because you say you have something doesn't mean that you do.

I would be concerned with what might fill that empty space.
