I wouldn't worry unless the guy starts fluffing up and can't keep their wings up. I'd be especially worried of the guy couldn't perch any more. Sounds like your budgie is simply adjusting to a new home and it may act a bit weird the next few days. It can take up to 2 weeks before it starts trusting you. Give it a few days to adjust to your home routine. Soon it'll be goofing off like the nuts budgies can be :-) .

Good luck!

Birds are very sensitive creatures so they have to adjust, leave them alone for awhile make sure they have food and water, go about your normal routine they have to get used to sharing your space. Talk to them they are social creatures but give them space especially at first. Once they are convinced you won't hurt them they will come around. If they start loosing feathers it's a sign of stress. So don't rush them you'll have this pet for a while so there is plenty of time to get to know each other.

You need to give it time to get ajusted to its new home. Hopefully you got one that is already hand trained. If not, you probably are going to have a problem getting the bird to respond to you. Just let it have some time and it should come around.
