My potatoes are starting to get sprouts, would they still be good to eat

the sprouts are called eyes,your potatoes just want to watch you cook them
yes it is safe to still eat the potato, just cut them out and cook the rest of the potato

Absolutely. Cut the sprouts off and cook the potatoes like you would normally. Mold wouldn't be so great, but sprouts are no problem. One of the reasons potatoes are so popular is because before refrigeration they could be stored in the cellar for months before going bad. Even in the dead of winter you'd still have potatoes.

Of course you can as long as there not rotten. The spouts are just a natural thing that a potatoes do to reproduce it self. If you were to plant it in the ground it would grow in to a potato plant.

or you could cut up the potatoe so that each piece has one of those sprouts and go plant a potatoe garden this week. :) - get lots more taters that way.

Can i still eat potatoes that have small spouts coming out of them? Only if you want a small spout coming out of you!

Yes, they are still good to eat, but you must hurry up and use them because if they are starting to get soft too, that means that they are getting old and are going to rot soon.
