"normal" is a watchword. If your son doesn't like it then it's normal for him. America is getting fat by drinking soda. He's smart they are empty calories. He is perfectly normal...about not drinking coke. lol

Yes it is...I used to hate coke and all sodas when I was 8, I thought it was weird having that feeling in your mouth (and it was scary, it feels like hundreds of ants is in your mouth), since I was 12 (I'm 15 now), I've been loving those things, maybe it was a temporary thing and he will soon not HATE it. It's a good thing not liking though, coke have lots of sugar which is not good for your health.

EVERYTHING is an acquired taste. I love coke but react the way your 10 year old does with Pepsi, Big Red, and quite a few other beverages---so I'd say he's fine. I'm 37.

If your son hates coke, then don't give it to him. He probably doesn't like the taste of it, and his body reacts in a wierd way. Everyone's different. I don't like eggs or lamb, so I don't eat it, because my body reacts in a wierd way from that, believe it or not.

It certainly isn't a tragedy if he doesn't want to drink soda, it will save his teeth and health.

Coca-cola from the can makes me sick to my stomach, I can handle fountain though I don't like it. It is the only brand I've had trouble with.

My son is 11 and can't stand it either... I say we are both lucky, they will eat enough junk in their lives, if he would prefer to drink milk then so be it!!!

Maybe he likes fruit flavored soda, maybe the brown colored sodas are too strong for him. I shake all the acid from my sodas because it burns my throat and nose, and I'm grown.

Yo, what are you doing giving a child soda?? Think of his teeth, nutrition, teaching bad nutritional habits.
