How do you get that toolbar back?

I got one of those object docks a while ago, and just suddenly, a couple minutes ago, the bar that's usually at the bottom of the screen, displaying what programs you're using, the time, and the start menu, disappeared. Now, I can't find a lot of my programs, and I can't play hearts or any games, either. Does anyone know how to get that bar back?

Also, now my object dock suddenly got rid of the one that I originally had and changed to a much smaller version that displays what programs I'm running.

Press the ":Start" button, pick the "Settings" option, and click on "Taskbar & Start Menu"

Check your options to see if it is set to auto-hide.
