Well, I suggest staying out of her way unless she's crying. Then maybe you ought to cuddle her. Do something sweet for her, like take her out to dinner and go for a walk afterwards. Food will help keep her energy up and exercise can help with cramping. If she's in a hostile mood, just stay away.

Before you do anything, ask her where it's hurting and where she feels the worst. You can do the most good by either getting her some aspirin for pain, getting her a heating pad for a bloated tummy or just leaving her alone if this is what SHE WISHES.

well...just be there for her..rub her tummy for her...try not to take offence if she takes some of her emotions out on you...but..for the most part...girls will be upset and overemotional while they're on their period and there's just not much you can do about it..

you have alot of good tips here. i just wanted to add "agree with everything she says" yes, alot of mm hmm, yes, isee. okay. i understand. even if you don't, just save it to discuss later..
but don't let yourself be abused, either. if she is really rude and dispespectful, you could always say "sweetheart, i understand you aren't feeling well, and i'm trying to be here for you as much as i can, but you really hurt my feelings (NOT "pissed me off") when you said/did xyz...

Haha..
-Try not to be too rude to her
-Don't you dare say "You're only mad cause you're PMSing" (that pisses us off)
-Try rubbing her stomach or buying her chocolate!
-Just be nice and understanding
Good luck, pal! That's a toughie!
