Even if the tomb *was* empty, that's not proof of god's existence. It's proof of one claim (ONE) in the entire bible.

Interesting, I watched a show on the History channel last night about it. They actually presented several ideas, one being that most peoples' bodies were actually dumped somewhere else (not placed in tombs) and usually were eaten by animals. That's why bones aren't usually found in tombs.
They also suggested that he never died, and was removed after being placed in the tomb (maybe by Mary) and cared for until he recovered (or didn't.)
Those are the two I caught; I was busy wasting time on here.....

I can come up with several explanations.
1- they were lying (boy that one is simple and it happens all the time)
2- someone stole it
3- He wasn't actually dead when they put him there
4- This got added to the story later and never even happened
5- The whole story never really happened and there wasn't actually a Jesus
6- the new tomb is the real one and his bones were there.
Every one of those is more reasonable than he came back from the dead. People don't routinely do that, but they lie and make stuff up every day.

Three HUGE ifs there. Is the tomb they THINK is the right one actually the right one? Grave robberies happened all the time, just look at the egyptian tombs. Or, there never was a tomb of jesus to begin with. I think the third option is the right one

You mention Easter so let's talk about Easter. Do you know what the origin of the Easter egg is? Answer, the Easter egg was from a pagan celtic tradition celebrating the spring equinox which happened at... EASTER TIME. Easter eggs were a sign of fertility and rebirth as in spring time rabbits had bunnies. Eggs were exchanged as gifts. And as for the tomb, Jesus came out on Easter morning and if he saw his shadow there was six more weeks of winter time. I hope this answers your question.

Hi , I am a non believer. I don't believe in god as being anything more than a reason for something to believe in. I do believe that a MORTAL named Jesus was probably a kind giving and caring person that was crucified for his beliefs that were in contradiction. You know, kind of the way people get killed these days for their beliefs. I don't believe that a god created anything, because I don't believe that this power to consciously and intentionally create something out of nothing ever existed or even exists today. Anyway, the body of jesus was probably stolen by the people who loved him for who he was (being a good person and fighting for what he believed in,which is what got him killed)

"Solid argument" is a far cry from proof.
This is one of those things we can't either prove or disprove using any of our modern "ology's."
Which is why it's called faith, actually.
There are several theories in the world (should anyone care to read them) that suppose Jesus didn't die on the cross (it was a substitute,) and that he migrated to a different place.
Another theory is that he was the son of God, died on the cross, and rose from the dead three days later.
None of these theories can be proven; unless of course Doc Brown happens to have gotten the DeLorean working.
You see, none of us were there and those that were are all dead and their "proof" either lost or destroyed or distorted.

How about this: are you sure there was even a tomb in the first place?
Then I'll ask you this: if you find this tomb that you speak of, can you demonstrate that the person you call Jesus Christ who is supposedly half man half god was actually buried in it?
Then we must ask if there were any other possibilities: grave robbers, burial in the wrong tomb, historical inacuraccy, embellishment, etc.

There are many tombs and gravemarkers around the world today that contain no human remains. How do you account for that? Are they all messiahs sent by God?

There was no tomb. I hate to tell all you christians this but im under the impression that Jesus was simply a man that may have had some mental issues. I don't think anyone ever crucified him.
Blessed Be
