I have to use ponerse in the context of to become (an emotion). I'm trying to say you can become depressed, using the tu form. However, since poder is conjugated, ponerse will be in the infinitive form....
So,----puedes poner deprimido....But where do I put the te, since it is ponerSE?-reflexive? Is it puedes ponerte or something??

Tú puedes ponerte deprimido (m) deprimida (f) is fine.
Te puedes poner deprimido is also fine.
It is an unusual sentence, though, as it can either mean:
(1) you may become depressed (if anything should happen); or (2) you have the ability to become depressed, meaning, you make yourself depressed, (by indulging in negative thoughts etc.)
With ponerte, you can also say thinks such as, "tú puedes ponerte triste", "ponerte contento", "ponerte furioso", "ponerte feliz"

Tavo is right, we do not use "poner" with "deprimir", but we do use it with other emotions like "ponerte triste" (sad) or "ponerte contento" (happy).
The correct phrase in Spanish would be "puedes deprimirte" or "puedes caer en depresión". "Puedes ponerte deprimido" is absolutely wrong.
The reason is because deprimir is a verb in itself, white triste or contento are adjectives. Equally, "entristecer" (to become sad) cannot be used with poner, you cannot say "ponerte entristecido" you say "Te entristeces".

well first of all let me tell you that we do not use "poner" with an emotion. I mean we do not say "me pongo deprimido", we say "me deprimo" directly, since deprimir is a verb too.
Anyway, i'll use the verb poner:
You can say
"TE puedes poner"
"puedes ponerTE"
is the same, the same as "SE"
