My son will be graduating in June and I'm not sure who to invite to his reception. Should I invite everyone I work with or just those that know him well; everyone there knows of him, but many not well.

Just invite people that know him well so he doesn't get overwhelmed by all the people. Family and friends are best. Its his day, not your other co-workers day.

How many tickets will they give you? No don't invite everyone from your work are you daff or something? People will fill obligated to buy a gift or give money. Please don't do that. That's very ignorant. Keep it family and close friends of his. Place a notice on your bulletin board if people want to give him a card fine, but it wont obligate people to go.

Remember this is about him. Invite the people he would want there. In fact, you should let him do the inviting.

My parents had a big party when I graduated and they invited people that they know. The celebration is also for you, not just your son. It's a proud parent moment.

well it is kinda tricky. I invited everyone i knew so that i could make more money. You should invite the people you work with out of niceness and people who knows him wel. Invite neighbors, girlfriend's parents and everyone in the family.

It depends on whether you're aiming for a more personal gathering or not and also on whether your son would mind having people around who don't know him that well.
