If it's something you think they will enjoy, it sounds lovely and it seems as though you have been thinking this (hence posting a question). Are they registered at any stores? Perhaps before you purchase the item you should take a quick look at their registry and make sure there's not something you may feel they'd enjoy more.

That sounds really nice! However, I am not a figurine kind of person. (Dusting sucks!) I dont have a figurerine cabinet or anywhere to put that sort of thing. So if your friends like that kind of thing, its a great gift.

I think picture frames are nice gifts since they will have tons of pictures after the wedding that they will want to display forever. I added lots of frames/scrapbook albums to my registry because I figure they are something that I will want to keep and won't ever be thrown away.

I also added wall art that had a love theme for the same reason.

From the perspective of an old woman.. married 33 years now... when I got married as a young girl I didn't appreciate that kind of thing... but now.. I've worn out and thrown away the towels and bedding.. the appliances have broken down.. the dishes are cracked...

All I still have.. that I remember as being a wedding gift.. is my fine china & silverware and a couple of lovely ornaments. My mother who has been married 63 years now still has the crystal bowls she got as wedding gifts but not much else.

So yes.. I think that is a lovely gift :) It will be an heirloom when everything else they got is in the trash!

I think it's quite the appropriate gift, one that you've put thought into. The love birds symbolize the couple's love for each other and that's what this is all about isn't it? You're a thoughtful and compassionate friend and they'll look at that set of birds years from now and think of you.
Good job!!

I'd go with a gift certificate to omaha steaks, that way they can get choice meats and eat them on a romantic occasion. There is not much you cando with crystal but to look at it.. get them something they can use.

heck yeah! if your still unsure of what to get them though try getting something for the home (ie. cookware, towel set that kindof stuff) but i think the crystal birds are great

I think its a perfect keepsake gift! Not every gift that is given has to be from their registry.

What are they going to do with that??? It does sound awful nice, but I would prefer something more practical that I could use everyday.

it sounds pretty.
simple but diffrent.
I dont think that any one else will buy them something like that.

usualy its something that you could use in a house but i personaly think that thats better as a house warming gift.
