Err... well, it could also mean that she's a shy person and she freaked out at the thought of going on a date alone with you. Or, yes, it could mean that she's trying to blow you off. OR, it *could* also be that she completely didn't get your signals and she thought it was just a friendly movie thing.
So, the best thing is, don't get offended or discouraged, and go with the friends (if the invited friends are all *her* friends, you might want to bring some of *your* friends to even things up). And then, ask her again for coffee or lunch or some other activity and see how she responds. If she does the whole "friend" thing again, then you might just have to bite the bullet and tell her that you wanted to ask her out on a real "date"... not just as a friend. Of course, there's no telling at this point how she might respond then.

If she doesn't know you too well it means she's smart and she wants to play it safe. Or if you are both young it means her parents won't let her date alone. Go with the group try it out and if it's not a parent issue then she will probably date you alone after a few group dates.

Hi there! No! It doesn't mean that she don't like you.Maybe she is just afraid with many things and I think you should understand and respect whatever those things/reasons are. Or maybe she grew up in a conservative way, that, you should be thankful. Why?because you know that if you get her love&trust,it will be a genuine love and that love or relationship will last. Now a days...Excuse for those girls that are liberated,I mean no harm ok. Few girls still believe in forever love and will stick with their man no matter what.I hope I contribute some ideas to you.Stay in love!!!!

If she told you she just wants to be friends, why are you even writing this? Sometimes people go to dances just as friends, it seems that was the case with the two of you. I think you should accept that she just wants to be friends with you and find someone else you are interested in. If you ask her out again after she already said she's not interested, she might get mad and stop talking to you. I'm sure you will find someone else that is interested and will go on solo dates with you :)

no, it just means that she is more comfortable being around her friends at first, because she doesnt really know you. it puts a girl at ease to have backup on the first date if you two just recently met. if she likes you enough by the end of the date, then she will be more comfortable going alone. dont take it personal

she really likes you, sometimes a girl just needs their friends. probably to take the pressure off. mabe she is a little shy, and doesnt know exactly what to say. it could be any number of things. she may be a little more comfortable as a group on the first date.

she either meant it in a good way or bad
good way she is too nervous to go wit just u 2 and i would be too so it doesnt mean she doesnt like u she just likes u so much that she is nervous of screwing up wit just u.
bad way she just wants to be friends
i highly doubt its the bad reson but it could be. im pretty sure its the good reson. just go wit the movies wit the friends and her and see how she acts and then ull no. just be urslef andgo with the flow. bestz luck-

She might just want to be friends, but she might also want to make the first date as low pressure as possible. Probably more the friends reason, who knows. Just be her friend, stay open-minded, prepare for the worst but hope for the best.

Her parents probably don't want her going on an 'alone date' until she's older. They are fine with group dates, so that's how she worked it out.
