I would paint it in a creamy beige color. It would make the cranberry/red sofa stand out as a focal point and you can work around the neutral walls very nicely. A 3rd and 4th color color should be introduced into the room and I would suggest an olive green and chocolate brown. These colors can be introduced in throw pillows, paintings, accessories around the room, also put cranberry/red and beige accessories also. Try to find a tapestry or paisley textured print fabric with the colors of cranberry/red, olive green, chocolate brown, cream, and beige that has all your colors and have the seagrass chair recovered with that fabric. You need texture in the room and that will provide it. On the large picture windows, if you don't care about privacy, I would just do a simple scarf valance in beige or olive green on a georgeous muted gold or bronze rod with finials on each end. Also you did not mention end tables or a cocktail table. Do you have those. That would make the room very warm and inviting. Also a beautiful antique brass or bronze lamp on one of the end tables. Cocktail table would be nice with a glass top and antique bronze base. Just a few ideas for you...Go and have fun decorating. Good Luck

I have a strawberry red suede couch and right now its in a bright sunny yellow room, and IMO it looks great. The warm colors are nice, but there is a lot of energy between the 2. Also I've had a taupe color (2 shades actually) that look nice with the red. Its also been in a light celery green and white. All the colors have done well with the couch, it just depends on what you want your room to say. Soft greens along with taupes are neutrals and will work well, but stronger colors also work well. Also, if you're not sure about how well the color will work with your sofa, but you're totally in love with the color, then tie the 2 colors together with fabric. If you choose a fabric with both colors in it then you'll have created a link between those too. I had to do that with my current room and the red sofa, but the look is great.

YES!! Definetly a warm soft yellow. Yellow goes great with cranberry, wood, seagrass, black and is welcoming..also for an occasional piece..use sage green.
