wedding dresses are based on european sizing charts, which are different from our own. a size 8 wedding dress is really the same as a size 4 regular dress, so do not worry, you are by no means fat. if it bothers you that much, though, maybe try making a little extra time to work out.

Don't go by your wedding dress size--they're always goofy! If you're still wearing a size 5, then you're probably looking pretty good, ESPECIALLY if you've just had a baby a year ago! Your body never really goes back to it's old shape, it's just different once you've had a baby--not fat, just different. I've had three kids and wear a size 6 in jeans and people say I'm too skinny. (Even though I'm never quite happy about that midsection area!) But I don't think any of us are completely happy with the way we look--even those supermodels sometimes will have a complaint of something that bothers them!! So don't worry and be happy that it's a size 5. You're doing just fine. (Also, remember that Juniors sizes and Womens sizes also vary from each other!)

No, I do not think you are fat and no a size 8 is not fat. I have four children now and before I had my first son I was a size 10 and I was kind of short and maybe I was a little chunky but, I would not consider myself as fat. Now, what I will say is yes start watching your weight but don't starve yourself or anything. When I met the man I am with now...he kind of gotten me into a bad habit of eating late....please do not eat too late...that is the worst you can do to yourself I have gained weight for the past couple of years and that's the main reason.

No, that is not big or fat. You had a baby and it takes time to get back to normal. you know alot of woman do not even come close to their before size. You are doing awesome!! Do not worry so much. I had my 3rd baby 17 months ago and am a size 6 right now. Yeah much bigger than I was before. I am 5'6 and I am almost 40. I know alot of women my age without having three children are in a much bigger struggle with weight than I have ever been in.
Don't worry you will be yourself again and you will get to shop in the kiddie clothes section again.

I just read in a magazine that over the past few years the clothing sizes are differing.

so likely that's all it is.

plus you have a baby now and size 5 or 8 both are healthy for your height.

Just be happy that you fit single digits. Others are a size 28.

Height doesn't dictate clothes size, it depends on your build.

I'm 5ft2 and a size 8. I'm 120lb and have 25% body fat, so I'm not overweight or anything.

All you need to worry about is how much body fat you have and your waist measurement. So long as you don't have more than 30% body fat and your waist is no more than 32 inches, then you don't need to worry about being fat.

HTH : )

Wow, why are so many women insecure about there weight? A size eight is small. USA or European sizes, it's all small. Seriously, I don't understand your concern, so many women would love to be that size. You know the average size in the US is a size 14? True enough. Love yourself as you are you have a new life to take care of and she is precious, no need to worry about your weight hun :) Take care :) Oh and don't listen to anyone who even says you are a slight bit overweight, far from it!

Gee, i hope not lol
I am 5'5" and weigh 134lbs (61kg), and wear Australian size 10 which i believe to be US size 6...
Wedding dresses are usually bigger sizes than jeans from my experience...My wedding dress was AUST size 12 when I was actually size 8 and 9 in jeans and other clothes.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about, a size five is still small, very small, so just be happy with your baby and your husband and have a wonderful life. Good Luck
