I am a former chemotherapy patient. The treatment left me hair less. My family and I are going to Florida for vacation. I want to wear my wigs on the beach. Some are real hair and others are fake. I was wondering if it would be safe for the wigs if I wore them in the water? I know pool water can ruin them (mainly because of the chemicals) but what about ocean water? Most would say to just do without them. But not wearing my wigs would make me insecure and make me look sickly. I wanna enjoy the beach and weather without destroying my wigs. Would the sea water hurt them?

Well congrats on getting through the chemo. I hope your health has returned. You can wear the more expensive real hair ones, but I would NOT wear the fake hair ones, as those would get damaged and might start falling off right away.
I know, I used to wear them as well. Take care:)

I am glad to hear you are doing well. But why bother to wear a wig at all during your vacation? Enjoy yourself -- never mind hair. You are still here! If it gets to hot on your scalp, wear a bandana.

But live, dance, love like no one is watching!
