Try disabling the pop-up blocker by choosing the "Turn Off Pop-up Blocker" option under Tools in the Menu bar.

When you did the download you changed something without being aware of it for I have pop-up blockers on ALL the time plus several other protection programs and they don't prevent me from logging in on Yahoo messenger, ispq, icq, or msn messenger either. So you have something else going on than just that.
Anytime you have downloaded something new and it messes up previously running programs then look to the new download for your trouble......no matter if you do think it has nothing to do with it. Pop--up blockers don't stop programs from working or in all my years they never have.

I would never use Limewire its Really unsafe program to use P2P altough its a good concept but wait till consistent P2P software comes out well depends on what purpose you using Limewire there are loads of straigt downloads available u jst need to look for it

limewire has no pop up blocker.you must disable any pop up blockers when using your im.
