A cyst is a sack filled with fluid. A boil has infection in it.

A boil get sore to the touch. Where a cyst doesn't, they just keep getting bigger over time.

a cyst is non suppurative,,,enclosed,encapsulated by adipose or lipid tissue,,,,,,a boil is inflammed,suffused with red & white cells,could be staphylococcus bacteria,or streptococcus caused,,,,,perhaps an inflamed hair follicle
