Exercising your dog regularly will definately help curb this behavior. An adult dog needs about 30 min - 1 hour a day of all out running.
BUT what you need to do is to take some time and train your dog Be consistant and enforce YOUR behavior.
Instill a quiet word for her and enforce it. When she gets loud give her that quiet word and have her lay down. Keep her in down till YOU tell her she can get back up. The first few times you have to be around to enforce the down. After a while you'll be able to leave her for an extended period of time.
The furniture jumping is harder to control if she's running around the house w/o you around.
While you are, just tell her to "off" continuously. Give her more attention when she's off the furniture than when she is on. Purchase toys that will keep her distracted and on the floor.
Don't yell, strike, spray water etc. Though negative you're still providing attention. Claim the couch as yours and while you can enforce it do not allow her on it. Consistancy is key.
Good Luck

is she a puppy, by any chance? Because... that's what puppies do.
Trick is to give her an alternative activity. Teach her to "sit," for instance, and when she starts barking or jumping on you, ask her to "sit." It's hard to sit and bark at the same time!
Does she have toys to play with? LIke a kong stuffed with yummy [maybe frozen] peanut butter? Could even stuff the kong with her meals, so she'd have to work to get her breakfast and dinner. Mental tiredness is good like physical tiredness.
But yeah, what the other person said, take an obedience class. Most pet stores have evening classes that are reasonably priced. As author Patricia McConnell points out, there's no reason to expect to know everything about dogs, so no shame in asking for behavioral guidance.
Good luck!

Send her to obedience school. She needs to learn how to conduct herself indoors. She also needs lots of exercise and might be happier outdoors in a fenced yard with a dog house for shelter. Some animals prefer outdoor living. Just be sure she has plenty of shade and fresh water in the summer. I think you'll all be happier keeping her outside, and only letting her in when she's taught to mind her manners.

call the dog whisperer! just kidding. dogs need someone to be firm with them. a dog that does not listen to you is a dog that feels he/she is the alpha male/female of the house. basically you need to show your dog who's boss. be firm with the dog, but not abusive. also don't give in to your dog's wishes. dogs are not like humans--they are not governed by typical human psychology. what i mean is if you try and sit down and talk to them like a little child who made a mistake, it usually does not work. they need to know that you are in charge around the house. i hope this advice helps.

Take her for a nice long walk. Invest in obedience classes...it sounds like she's bored.
