No one says you can't disagree with Christians, your entitled... but many of you get demeaning and sarcastic. Again, I suppose you can use the forum for whatever purpose you want, but if you want to be taken seriously then make an argument without the sarcasm... and I will be one Christian who will attempt not to throw it back at you either.

Phoenix... don't make the mistake of thinking Christians don't think for themselves, your just making my point for me. You don't have to believe what I do, but don't think for a second that my belief is either easy or was decided on a whim. Grow up!

The bible-thumping Christians need some demeaning talk and sarcasm to get the truth through their heads. Christianity is stolen from pagan religions and manipulated to suit their "needs", if you will. It isn't the "word of God" or anything remotely close to that; it is a fictional book written by man. You can't prove that the spirit of "God" spoke to the disciples. Faith doesn't mean that everyone believes it or should believe it. Humans have free will and their own minds. Your faith is your faith; imposing it on others makes you look like a fool that is blinded by ignorance. There are many contradictions in the Bible, many hateful and "unchristian-like" scriptures. Why defend a religion that is based on blindness and muffled speech? Think for yourself and don't believe in that Christian bs.

**EDIT: It must take a lot of thinking in order to believe in the manipulative and contradictive qualities in the Christian ideology. Seriously, though, there are so many flaws within Christianity's core belief system that it is obvious that it's a religion made by man and that it is contorted to suit man's insecurities and prejudices.

Actually, from what I've seen of R&S, it's the christians who go there to judge and evangelise to all the other users. And sarcasm is a common human response to ridiculousness, so as long as those christians who are being nonsensical continue to be so, they can expect sarcastic responses. (not from me, not my style, but they can expect it from many)
People on R&S are used to the majority of the christians on there going out of their way to offend non-christians, people respond to the treatment they've received from them, and unfortunately for the good christians out there, the offensive christians wind up representing the group. (not unlike the way muslims have been treated in recent years, only the percentage of christians who are awful to hear from is far vaster than the percentage of muslims who are)

Great point!!! Unfortunately, I think people come to this page looking to argue, rather than looking to learn more about any religion. I can't understand why atheists, who basically have no speculation on any god or gods, want to discredit what others believe. They condemn Christians for trying to preach the word, but atheists also try to spread their message. Why can't we all just be open minded, and try to learn about others instead of demeaning them??? I am Christian, and I love learning about other religions. I don't try to disprove what they believe.

Well, I dont personally demean or act sarcastically when I come on to Yahoo answers. I simply criticize.
Did you know atheists are being kicked out because of whiners.

I Love you, man,,,,,,,,,,,,, or woman

Hear now the words of the witches,
The secrets we hid in the night,
When dark was our destiny's pathway,
That now we bring forth into light.
Mysterious water and fire,
The earth and the wide-ranging air.
By hidden quintessence we know them,
And will and keep silent and dare.

The birth and rebirth of all nature,
The passing of winter and spring,
We share with the life universal,
Rejoice in the magickal ring.

Four times in the year the Great Sabbat returns
And witches are seen,
At Lammas and Candlemas dancing,
On May Eve and old Hallowe'en.

When day-time and night-time are equal,
When sun is at greatest and least,
The four Lesser Sabbats are summoned,
Again witches gather in feast.

Thirteen silver moons in a year are,
Thirteen is the coven's array,
Thirteen times at esbat make merry,
For each golden year and a day.

The power was passed down the ages
Each time between woman and man,
Each century unto the other,
Ere time and the ages began.

When drawn is the magickal circle,
By sword or athame of power,
It's compass between the two worlds lies,
In Land of the Shades for that hour.

This world has no right then to know it,
And world of beyond will tell naught,
The oldest of Gods are invoked there,
The Great Work of magick is wrought.

For two are the mystical pillars,
That shine at the gate of the shrine,
And two are the powers of nature,
The forms and the forces divine.

The dark and the light in succession,
The opposites each unto each,
Shown forth as a God and a Goddess,
Of this did our ancestors teach.

By night he's the wild wind's rider,
The Horned One, the Lord of the Shades,
By day he's the King of the Woodland,
The dweller in green forest glades.

She is youthful and old as she pleases,
She sails the torn clouds in her barque,
The bright silver Lady of midnight,
The crone who weaves spells in the dark.

The master and mistress of magick,
They dwell in the deeps of the mind,
Immortal and ever-renewing,
With power to free or to bind.

So drink the good wine to the old Gods,
And dance and make love in their praise,
Till Elphame's fair land shall receive us,
In peace at the end of our days.

And Do What You Will be the challenge,
So be it in love that harms none,
For this is the only commandment,
By magick of old be it done!

Oh boy, christians give it as good as they get mate. I don't crack on either side as such, as I'm beyond judging someone for choosing to believe in what they do for reason.
