Hi, here's just a few things you could do.
Using a ball or bench sit up with your feet firmly on the ground. Lean back a little as if half way through a sit up (you'll need all your stomach muscles switched on to hold you there), holding a towel or a broom across behind your shoulder blades rotate from the waist from side to side. You will feel the pinch in your sides straight away. Using a medicine ball (or any ball for that matter) and again rotating whilst in the sit up position will also work as well.
I also use hand weights and standing tall using one weight in one hand bend at the waist and move the weight slowly down your thigh towards your knees, then back up, repeat on both sides.... Those love handles should fall off within no times. Obviously keep up the good diet and the cardio..... Good luck.

Aerobics. Dance The Twist like we did last summer. Just kidding. When I taught aerobics, it was usually the last place to lose because it's hard to spot-train, or lose fat in a particular area. However, to tone you can do side sit ups on an incline board but they are hard and you'll have to discipline yourself. Legs up and do side sit ups ...you know, elbow bent behind your head and then do a sit up so that you're bending as far up as you can hopefully your elbow will wind up somewhere near your middle. Other than that, seriously, you can take free weights, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, bend at the waist and then touch your toes (or close as you can to touching) diagonally -- right hand to left side and left hand to right side. Remember though you will have to exercise the other side so you can do back exercises, focusing on the lower lumbar. Hips over the bench and pull up with your arms behind your neck. Do about 15 of those and repeat for 3 reps. Also, try less weight and more reps so you don't add bulk. Breathe out coming up on all exercises. Swimming helps and anything else aerobic. There's something else called Donkey Kicks and that's where you are on all fours, bend your knee to the side and kick your knee to your shoulder. Looks kind of funny, but if you keep your leg bent and higher than your hip, you'll feel it. I personally hate this region so anything I do that doesn't remind me that I'm actually working out is the best so you might really want to think about dancing. :-) Hang in there. After three months you'll notice a difference if you do it at least three times a week minimum. Measure the area first and don't get discouraged and give up if after three months it is bigger because that almost always happens because you're building muscle which adds inches, but eventually you'll whittle the fat away and you'll get cuts and the leaner look. Until then, tell them to hold on. :-)

Cardio cardio cardio. And make sure you're eating less than 1500 calories a day. Write down how many you eat throughout the day, and never let it above 1500. Go running, everyday, for at least 30 minutes. If you want it gone very very fast, then you should be looking at 60 minutes a day. You will feel absolutely exhausted, but that is because the fat is disappearing so quickly, that your body will think it is in trouble. Make sure in your diet you eat carbohydrates, proteins and fruit always helps. When you eat less, your body also thinks it is in trouble, so you must take responsibility for what you eat. Next time you go shopping, stay away from the sweets - they are slowing you down and ruining your figure. Although this is a hard routine to adopt, it is the fastest. Losing weight is never easy, and we must work through difficult activities to look our best.

Do leg-lifts but make sure that your stomach is tight the entire time. That works your lower stomach muscles. If you do crunches it works the upper half of your stomach. When you do them, don't go all the way up and make sure that the small of your back is touching the floor the whole time. That works more of your muscles and gives you a harder workout. The first time you try these, have someone put their hand under your back just above your butt. As you are doing the crunches, have them try to pull their hand out. Your job is to push your back down so that they can't escape. That way you feel your muscles working and you can have a raference to what it should feel like.
Then do side sit-ups where you bend one knee and cross the other leg over it putting your ankle on your knee. Then do your sit-ups toward your knee. Then switch. This will work the fat off of your hips/waist area.

There is no such thing as spot reduction (losing weight or burning fat in a particular area) but I would try a few things. First try to increase muscle mass, espescially in that area. Second instead of cutting food intake, eat the same amount that you would normally, but spread it out over 5-8 smaller snacks a day, as healthy as you can. This, mixed with regular exercise (I would try running/jogging/walking and core workouts such as crunches) in small bursts of about 15-25 minutes of activity at a time throughout the day, should help you burn whatever unwanted fat you have. Good Luck!

It's virtually impossible to spot-reduce fat. The thing you need to do is aim for overall fat-loss through diet and exercise, as well as toning exercises to help tone your problem areas. Keep working at it.
Oh and be careful with the low-carb thing, because carbs are what the body needs for energy. If you don't get enough carbs, your body will use the protein you intake for energy instead of for muscle building and maintenance. Try to just eat smart about your carbs.

It's not just about eating low carbs...it's about watching all of what you eat. Try Weight Watchers, its great. Also, exercise everyday. Alternate between cardio and muscluar training. Good Luck!
