How do I get a W2 from a former job????
I left a job on bad terms when i moved out of state. I was wondering if there was a way to get my W2 from the State without having to talk to a boss that is mad at me for leaving without notice. Any thoughts because I really don't want to talk to this former job at all.

The employer is required by law to give you a W-2. Request it in writing and send it by Certified Mail.

The answer hasn't changed since the first time you asked the question.

Nothing magical has occurred in 3 hours that will change the fact that you must contact the employer.

The ONLY way to get your copy of the W-2 is to contact them, give them your current mailing address and request a copy. You can't file your return without it and there is NO OTHER WAY to get it. So suck up your foolish pride and contact them.

bypass forward and do your taxes. you will might desire to wager at how plenty you made on that interest with out W2. you're actually not the 1st individual interior america of a to might desire to bypass without a W2, and the IRS has a sort for merely such situations. Get IRS form 4852, "replace for form W2," fill it out the ideal you could, and attatch it on your tax return (make and save a duplicate of it and something of your tax return). the form permit you recognize to bypass to the business enterprise and beg for a W2, yet forget approximately that. The IRS merely needs your money, and so as that they want you to do their artwork for them. Policing the W2 gadget is THEIR interest, not yours.
