the only thing I know of that advertises fast weight loss is those Hollywood Diet Drinks. They advertise you can lose 10lbs in a day or two but you know that old say: if it sounds too good to be true than it probably is!

I know this sounds tired, but it's all in the calories..I was @ my highest weight after my junior year of college, and am now at my lowest ever (even better than in highschool) simply because I count calories like it's my job!

There are times when you will fluctuate, but the fastest way I've found to lose it right back is to cut back. I typically eat about 1000 calories a day, and have an active lifestyle - although I haven't been to a gym since 2002 - so when I need to drop a few, I just bring the count down to 700 or so. Also, remember that even though you may lose weight quickly, you have to give it time to re-disperse itself.. ie; you may lose ten pounds and still not look amazing in that one pair of jeans..wait a week and I can almost guarantee you'll notice more firmness, etc.

As always, exercise is a great way to go, but I have always hated the gym so I try to do other things that are active at least once or twice a day..like washing/vacuuming my car, cleaning my apartment, walking the dog around the lake (or downtown window shopping!), etc. Besides, staying busy is the best way to not grab handful after handful of snacks (I'm a nanny and it's next to impossible to avoid the cheez-its and cookies, but it's doable)

Oh! and I always carry around a diet coke..the caffeine helps me stay moving (obviously) and it helps immensly if you have the habit of eating when you're bored (which I do). Gum works for some people, but I find it makes me feel full of air, go figure.

Good luck to you!

You did not point out how lengthy you exercised. How lengthy you took nutrition capsules. How lengthy do you no longer devour so much? Losing weight takes decades and plenty of labor and motivation. Quick weight reduction is certainly not ever well. You are certain to achieve it again rapid after which a few. If you endeavor every day, devour 3 foods an afternoon and not anything in among foods, you're going to drop some weight. It will take a little time however it is going to occur. I might quit looking to drop some weight rapidly. Good Luck.

hate to tell you, but you're pulling your own heart strings.
these fad diets lead you to lose waterweight or just put it immediately back on as soon as you feel temptation. you need to make a serious change. Start the morning witha good breakfast, cut out snacking, eat 3 squares a day, and dont eat within 4 hours of going to bed.

a good equation for finding out how to lose weight.
take your body weight, multiply by 15, this is your rough base metabolic rate.
take that rate, and subtract it from the total of the food you ate in the day, and then take that number and remove the calories burned in excercise you had in a day. this should leave you with hopefully a negative number. -100 to -500 is an excellent path, you're losing a pound a week this way. -500 to -1000+ is for serious dieters who think they can keep the change going once they've reached an optimum weight. if you go for a greater goal, watch temptation and make sure you dont falter. you'll lose real portions of body fat this way, and start to feel better about yourself rapidly.

First of all it's not good to lose more than two pounds a week. If you lose weight too fast you will run in to health problems. At first you will seem to lose weight fast then your body will go into starvation mode and slow your metabolism which will cause your body to store fat whenever you do eat then you'll get real big. So take it slow eat about 1200 calories a day and make sure you eat breakfast.

Sorry, there is no quick fix. You are on the right track. You should be losing 2-4 lbs a week. If you lose more weight per week it will just come back twice as fast as soon as you quit dieting. Just be patient and stick to what you are doing. You should be losing a pant size for every 10-12 pounds you lose. So, you should start noticing something soon.

The way you have been losing weight over the last few weeks is the optimum way of doing it. Any time you try to lose quickly, it messes with your metabolism. I would say 10 pounds are remarkable results, congrats!
Have you been exercising at all? If not, I would eat just as you have been and add some type of exercise for at least 30 minutes each day. The other benefit of exercising? It speeds up your metabolism helping you to burn calories more effectively.
Oh yes... Be sure you are drinking plenty of water and taking a multivitamin.

Best of luck,
Mon :-)

You've probably heard this before, but not eating enough is counter-productive. When you eat less than you should your body eats at your muscle instead of your fat. That's why a lot of people who were very heavy and lost a lot of weight too quickly, have a bunch of loose skin. Are you exercising? Cause that's the best way to see results. It adds definition, but more importantly it eats at the fat! Weight training, doubly important!
