Please be truthful, I'm seeing a lot of dialogue from people mentioning Heaven and what God tells them to do, but what if you knew in your heart of hearts that there was no God? (Just for the sake of this question, I'm not trying to change anyone's beliefs). What would you do differently? How would you live your lives going forward?

Perhaps I should have stated this at the beginning...This question is not meant to be a test of your faith, you can actually answer and not go to Hell. I'm just curious if your actions would change if your belief system changed.
Again....THIS IS NOT A TEST!!

Even if there was no God, and this all was a lie, I love the principles that I live by. They are profound in the sense that you will always sow what you reap. If you sow to things that are negative, you will reap the negative effects on your life.
I am not saying that bad things don't happen to Christians, good and bad happen to everyone. I just have a different, more positive perspective on the bad things that happen. I'm never without hope.
If there was no God, I would not change a thing, because I am so happy to be living by these principles, and reaping all the benefits.

Well......tomorrow is Saturday. Some virtual friends
said, ok, lets do it we played an online drinking game. Now, I was supposed to clean out the
bomb shelter, build a new convertible lion's den,
mow the villa, and sort out the sock drawer. But
I went to the church and fixed the thermostat,
helped my next door neighbor fix a shutter,
and chased away a wasp hwo actually attacked
my daughter. All on Sunday. And Monday
to work I go. Was it the seventh day to rest
or do you just switch it around to the day
you need a favor from your brother-in-law?
They should renumber or change ancient American digressive phrases like "all in a
day's work", "its your funeral", or "I'm on
a mission from God" and use the right
opronoun right, said Elwood.
Hope that helped. They took the whole bar.

I know that I would not live any differently - because I have to live with myself and my own internal compass would not change. I don't live to please a or live in fear of judgement by a Judeo/Christian/Islamic concept of "God" (or any other organized religion.)
I believe that he concept of "God" is within and you ultimately answer to yourself - everyone knows in their gut what is the right path and right choice.
I like this quote from the "Vedas"...."The "truth" is one and the sages speak of it by many names.
Also, I noticed some people stated that they would do some pretty negative things to others and I have to wonder if they don't only due to "fear" of consequences?I mean Is their current behavior only due to their belief in "God" or because they truely in their hearts are really so inclined.
For example : If they would commit murder if they believed no God exists - don't they realize that the "God " they say they believe in "Knows" this and judges them on that as well. It shows their real nature.
Sorry so long winded , but it just seems a bit sad to say that you are who you are only becasue of your fear of getting caught.
Peace

In my childhood, I attended a liberal Protestant church; as an adult, I pursued enlightenment via the New Age Quest whose aspirers generally believe in a deity or higher power; I am currently an agnostic. Throughout my life, I have not changed in my essential self. I have always believed in living a moral life regardless of whether god exists or not. I care that the world is better or unharmed because of my being here...

I see your honesty in putting this question up here...I can't answer it very honestly...Why? It is not something I can remotely even fathom...no God?..For me...and many others, this question just won't "compute". Their would be no "forward" no reason to breath...no reason to hope and no reason or purpose in life. Nothing comes from nothing and if their were no God, there would be nothing but emptiness in His place.....

No; does not count. i might merely comprehend that besides the fact that that's that I adventure as my Gods is coming extra from interior of me than with out me. different than that, the rites & rituals, the vacations, the tenets & ethics, all of them nonetheless have a great deal of meaning and experience, might nonetheless be pleasing and a powerful thank you to stay. of path morality exists with or with out Gods @@

If there was no God, then there would be no God to believe in hence being called a "believer" would be irrelevant thus your question is void.

Wow, what pathetic innane answers.
It is quite sad how theists are incapable of answering hypotheticals. I believe it stems from their inability to rationalize outside of their religion.

If there wasn't God, then we wouldn't be here and have to worry about how we would live our lives.
