I've vomited once this afternoon - now, all I want to do is lay in bed, and avoid becoming physically ill again - what's the best position to lay in (on my back, on my side, etc) to make my stomach feel better? do you have any other tips to calm my stomach?

Sometimes it helps to lie on your left side. (Your stomach drains into your small intestines better in that position).

If you get hungry, try to eat saltine crackers, but not too many.

Sometimes soda can help ease nausea.

Have you already tried pepto bismal?

Don't get too warm. Stay as cool as comfortably possible.

Bless your heart.....I feel sorry for you. This too, shall pass.

Nobody knows what is the most soothing position to lay in right now but you. You have to listen to your body. Try sipping on some 7-up. Stay away from foods that are heavy. Soup might be a good choice. Hope you feel better soon.

Don't eat spicy or greasy foods. The doctor can prescribe a patch that will calm your upset stomach until the virus passes. I don't know if it makes any difference which position you are in, just stay still as much as possible and rest.

Whatever everyone else said. Also, I think yogurt's good for the digestive system, so if you have any of that lying around, it might help you out a bit.
